FKF-PL: Defending champions Gor Mahia edge Mara Sugar to move fifth

Record Kenyan champions Gor Mahia moved fifth in the FKF Premier League standings after leaving it late to see off Mara Sugar 2-0 at Raila Odinga Stadium in Homa Bay on Saturday.
K'Ogalo were seeking to build on their midweek 2-0 win over Kakamega Homeboyz and they did just that after bagging their fifth win of the season.
After playing out to a barren 0-0 draw in the first half, Austin Odhiambo wo was voted the Man of the Match gave Gor the lead in the 87th minute before Gedeon Bendeka sealed the win with another three minutes later for a 2-0 win.
Victory lift Gor to fifth in the standings with 14 points, eight behind league leaders KCB who drew o-o against Bidco United.
While Gor has played eight matches, KCB has played 11 matches.

In another encounter, 10-man Posta Rangers played out to a 0-0 draw with Talanta at Machakos Stadium.
