Re-election of Nakuru chairman Francis Oliele and that of his Kericho counterpart Alfred Kirui in Football Kenya Federation (FKF) branch elections were a big surprise to their opponents.

Oliele floored former Kenya Football Federation Central Rift branch secretary Kepha Onditi and former National Super League referee Eliakim Mbalilwa as his line-up swept the board in the Nakuru branch elections that had 79 delegates.

Oliele garnered 58 votes ahead of Onditi who posted 27 and Mbalilwa four votes.

Paul Kamau is the vice chairman while the secretary is Chris Kibeka, treasurer is John Onono, youth representative is Erick Kurgat and women representative is Calistus Moraa.

"We have won and ready to work with those whom we defeated for the sake of football in our county. Let's put politics aside and promote standards here," said Moraa.

In the Kericho elections, Kirui defeated Remmy Chumo 17-2 while Ishmael Sang won the the vice chairman seat.

Samuel Chumo will be the Secretary General after beating Ezekiel Bett by the same margin.

Others are Dennis Koech as treasurer, women representative Valentine Chepkoech and Youth Representative Edward Bett.

In Narok, Peter Karima retained his seat as chairman beating his opponent Torome Kuntai 7-4 in a tight contest at William Ole Ntimama Stadium.

Kuntai admitted he was beaten fairly and promised to work with the chairman in lifting Narok's football standards.

"For the sake of standards here, we must work together to ensure we improve our standards at the grassroots football," Torom told Standard Sports.

Elias Musangai is secretary after beating Paul Parmwai with Erick Kosgei elected the treasurer after flooring Diana Sitanian.

Joyce Karia won the women representative seat after defeating Kapito Norlalanu.
