Koderobara High School are the 2024 Nyanza Region Secondary School football boys' champions.

The Migori County heavyweights were crowned new champions of Nyanza after seeing off Matutu PAG from Nyamira 2-1 in a rescheduled final played at Moi Stadium in Kisumu on Wednesday.

The final which was to be played last week on Saturday was postponed due to the rising cases of crowd trouble and hooliganism which erupted last Friday when Agoro Sare played Matutu in the abandoned semifinal match at Cardinal Otunga Mosocho.

Gerald Samson scored a first half brace before Matutu captain Tony Oloo converted the consolation goal from the spot kick.

Speaking after the win, Koderobara football coach Moses Otieno praised his charges for being mentally strong despite the prolonged stoppages.

"Congratulations to the boys. These hardworking students deserve the win especially if you look at the run we have had. It is our first time to get to the nationals and we will be ready," said Otieno.
