Liverpool and Manchester City battled to a thrilling 1-1 draw, failing to topple Arsenal and seize the top spot in the English Premier League standings.

The clash at Anfield saw both teams locked in intense competition, with neither able to break the deadlock decisively.

Manchester City, keen to assert their dominance, launched an early onslaught, with Caoimhín Kelleher denying Julián Álvarez and Kevin De Bruyne in the opening minutes.

However, Liverpool swiftly countered, with Darwin Núñez and Luis Díaz posing threats of their own.

The tension escalated as John Stones capitalized on a corner delivery from De Bruyne to give Manchester City the lead. Yet, Liverpool quickly retaliated after the break, as Alexis Mac Allister converted a penalty following a foul by Ederson.

Both teams pushed relentlessly for a winning goal, with Liverpool's Mohamed Salah and Díaz coming close to snatching victory. However, resolute defending and goalkeeping thwarted their efforts, culminating in a stalemate.

Liverpool's unbeaten streak continues, leaving them trailing Arsenal solely on goal difference in the title race. Meanwhile, Manchester City's unbeaten run extends to 21 games, positioning them just one point behind the leading pair in the Premier League standings.

The draw leaves fans eagerly anticipating the next twists and turns in the fiercely contested title race, as Liverpool, Manchester City, and Arsenal vie for supremacy in one of the most exciting seasons in recent memory.
