Kariobangi Sharks moved five points clear off the relegation zone after hammering Posta Rangers 5-1 in a six goal thriller match played at the Police Sacco Stadium.

Julius Masaba scored a brace as John Makwatta, Leon Otieno and Fortune Omotto sealed the big win for Sharks who moved three points clear off the relegation zone.

Masaba gave Sharks a narrow 1-0 half time lead before doubling the scorers in the 49th minute.

Former AFC Leopards danger man Makwatta made the scores 3-0 in the 56th minute before Otieno and Omotto sealed the win. Brian Otieno scored Sharks consolation.

In Mumias, Kakamega Homeboyz moved to seventh after their 2-0 win over Ulinzi Stars.

Hillary Otieno and Brian Chiala struck for Homeboyz who finished with ten men at Mumias Sports Complex.

In Bungoma, Nzoia Sugar came from behind to salvage a crucial one point in a 1-1 draw against FC Talanta.

Alfred Tanui gave the visitors a 1-0 half time lead after scoring in the 11th minute before Josephat Oyugi struck at the hour mark to restore parity for the sugar men.

Nzoia Sugar are currently bottom of the table with 17 points, seven points off safety.

AT the same time, Muhoroni Youth held Kenya Police to a 1-1 draw.
