FKF-PL. Defending champions Gor Mahia open 10-point gap at the top

Defending champions Gor Mahia yesterday opened a 10-point gap at the helm of the FKF Premier League after thrashing 10-man Posta Rangers 4-0 in a match played at Machakos Stadium on Saturday.

Bemson Omalla scored his 11th goal of the season in the match to hand Gor a narrow 1-0 half time lead before Samwel Owino scored from a corner to hand Gor a 2-0 lead at the hour mark.

Austine Odhiambo wrapped the game with a quick fire double in the last 10 minutes of the match.

The win took Gor to 50 points, 10 points off second placed Tusker who leapfrogged Posta.

In Kisumu, Erick Kapaito closed the gap between him and Gor's Omalla to within three goals in the race for the Golden Boot award after netting a brace to inspire Tusker to a 2-1 win over Muhoroni Youth at Muhoroni Stadium in Muhoroni.

Kapaito gave the brewers a 1-0 half time lead after netting in the 35th minute before making it 2-0 in the 52nd minute. Samwel Adebowale scored Muhoroni's consolation in the 81st minute.

In Thika Stadium, Shafik Batumbuze scored in the 47th minute to hand the visitors a narrow lead after having played to a goalless first half before Alex Kipruto rescued a point for FC Talanta with a goal two minute to full time.
