FKF-PL: Nairobi City Stars edge FC Talanta to move second

Nairobi City Stars moved to second in the Football Kenya Federation (FKF) Premier League standings after thrashing FC Talanta 3-0 at Ruaraka Grounds on Saturday.
Mohammed Bajaber, Robinson Asenwa and Samuel Kapen struck for City Stars who picked their ninth win of the season including six in a row. City Stars have not lost since November 25 last year.
The win saw them to leapfrog Posta Rangers to second in the standings as the Mailmen dropped to third after their 1-0 defeat at the hands of record Kenyan champions Gor Mahia.
Kennedy Onyango's first half header was enough to hand Gor maximum points as the record Kenyan champions stretched their lead at the top of the table to 37 points after 17 matches.
K'Ogalo are now seven points off Nairobi City Stars.

Posta slumped to third with 29 points same as Bandari. The Dockers defeated Nzoia Sugar 1-0 in Mombasa.
Umar Kasumba scored the lone goal for Bandari who moved above KCB and Kakamega Homeboyz.
In Homa Bay County, Samuel Adebowale's 68th-minute strike secured a 1-0 win for Muhoroni Youth against Shabana at the Raila Odinga Stadium.
The win, Muhoroni's third straight in a row, has lifted the Kisumu County team out of the relegation zone 12th in the standings with 18 points, four points above the drop zone.
Back in Nairobi, Kenneth Muguna starred as Kenya Police hammered Kakamega Homeboyz 3-0. The Harambee Stars midfielder assisted Musa Mohammed as Police led 1-0 two minutes into the match before turning from provider to goal scorer in the 51 minute.
South Sudan international Tito Okello sealed the victory with a goal in the 57th minute.
