Posta Rangers on Saturday opened a four-point gap at the helm of the FKF Premier League after thrashing struggling Shabana 3-1 at Machakos Stadium.

Felix Olouch gave the league leaders the lead in the fifth minute before former AFC Leopards skipper Eugene Mukangula levelled the scores 1-1 in the 10th minute.

Brian Otieno restored Rangers lead in the 18th minute to lead 2-1 before an own goal sealed Shabana’s fate as Posta led 3-1 at the break.

A barren second half followed but it did not matter as Rangers collected three points to extend their lead at the top to 25 points, four ahead of defending champions Gor Mahia who play on Sunday.

Shabana, meanwhile, remains in 14th position with 10 points.

At the same grounds, AFC Leopards picked their seventh draw of the 2023-2024 season after being held to a 1-1 draw by Sofapaka.

Brian Yakhama gave Ingwe the lead from the spot in the 66th minute before veteran midfielder Humphrey Mieno struck deep into stoppage time to salvage a point for Batoto ba Mungu.
