Valerie Nekesa starred once again as Rising Starlets saw off Angola 4-0 during the return leg of the 2024 FIFA U20 World Cup qualifiers played in Angola on Saturday.

The national U20 side had hammered the South Africans 6-1 during the first leg played a week ago in Nairobi and needed to avoid defeat to sail through to the next stage of the competition.

The Beldine Odemba charges did even better after outplaying Angola in their backyard as Nekesa who scored a hat trick at Nyayo got the game underway with a sixth minute goal.

Anna Arusi added a second in the 36th minute to give Kenya a comfortable2-0 halftime lead.

In the final half, Arusi made it 3-0 in the 57th minute to grab her brace before Charity Mwendwa capped the dominance Kenyan show with a late goal deep into stoppage time for a 4-0 win.

Victory saw Odemba's charges complete a statement 10-1 aggregate win.

Kenya also sails through to the next stage where they will renew their rivalry with Cameroon.

Last month, senior side Harambee Starlets knocked out the Indomitable Lionesses 4-3 in penalties after playing out to a 1-1 aggregate during the 2024 Women's Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) qualifiers.

This fixture pits Cameroon against Kenya once again with the latter definitely going to seek revenge for their beaten seniors.

Cameroon knocked out Botswana 6-1 on aggregate, winning 2-0 at home and 4-1 away.
