Harambee Stars continue Russia friendly preps

The Kenya National team, Harambee Stars, is near full house ahead of the scheduled international friendly match against Russia.

All players initially called up have checked into camp save for Johnstone Omurwa who is expected in Turkey on Friday.

The team is in high spirits ahead of the match which will be the last test match ahead of the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers which kick off in November this year.

"This is the third high profile friendly match we have played this year. We feel ready and I am hopeful that come next month, we shall be fully ready for the qualifiers," said midfielder Kenneth Muguna.

Kenya faces Russia in an international friendly match on Monday, October 16, 2023, in Antalya, Turkey. The match will be the final test ahead of the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers set to kick off in November this year.

The Harambee Stars have been pooled in Group F against Ivory Coast, Gabon, Gambia, Burundi, and Seychelles.
