FKF-PL: Muhoroni Youth fined, docked three points for abandoned chaotic KCB match

Muhoroni Youth Football Club will play their next five FKF Premier League home matches behind closed doors after being sanction by the FKF Leagues and Competitions Committee for chaotic end to their round six match against KCB played on Monday in Kisumu County.

With KCB leading 1-0 at the Muhoroni Stadium, trouble started in the 90th minute mark when the bankers technical bench protested a decision by the referee to award a free kick at the edge of the penalty box.

A section of Muhoroni Youth fans stormed the pitch, baying for KCB's technical bench members. An online video released by KCB reveled fans engaging in push and pull which resulted in KCB coach Bernard Mwalala pushed to the ground.

With lack of enough security, the match officials stopped the match and sent the case to the FKF.

After reviewing the submissions from Muhoroni Youth FC and KCB FC, the Leagues and Competitions Committee revealed that they have awarded KCB three points under a 2-0 victory verdict.

The committee also ordered the club to play their next five home matches away from Muhoroni Stadium and behind closed doors.

"Muhoroni Stadium is suspended from hosting the next five (5) Muhoroni Youth FC home matches, which shall be played behind closed doors," red the report.

Furthermore, the club's chairman Moses Adagala has been banned from attending the team's next three games as well as a Sh300,000 fine to the club.

Muhoroni Youth vs KCB verdict

The match is awarded to KCB FC, granting them 3 points and a 2-goal advantage.

Muhoroni Stadium is suspended from hosting the next five (5) Muhoroni Youth FC home matches, which shall be played behind closed doors.

Mr. Moses Adagala, Chairperson of Muhoroni Youth FC, is banned from attending the next three (3) Muhoroni Youth matches.

Muhoroni Youth FC is required to pay a fine of KES 300,000." concluded the statement from the country football body.
