Posta Rangers fairytale run in the 2023-2024 FKF Premier League continued on Friday after John Kamau's charges opened a seven-point gap between them and defending champions Gor Mahia who are yet to play the Mashemeji Derby.

Rangers defeated Nzoia Sugar 2-0 at Kasarani Annex to stretch their unbeaten run to six-matches.

Captain Kennedy Owino opened the scores in the 70th minute before Brian Otieno sealed the three points in the 83rd minute.

The win saw them move to 16 points, seven ahead of Gor who are joint second with nine points alongside newbies Murang'a SEAL.

In Kakamega, Homeboyz fans were left frustrated after FC Talata rallied from behind three times to force a 3-3 draw in a six-goal thriller match staged at the Bukhungu Stadium.

Davis Kasriye and Brian Eshihanda gave the hosts a 2-0 lead inside the opening 30 minutes before Lucas Waitere and Erick Ombija netted in last seven minutes to the break to tie the scores at 2-2 at halftime.

Highly rated striker Moses Shumah thought he had scored the winner after coming off the bench to give Homeboyz a 3-2 lead in the 3-2 minute but Talanta had other plans through Ombija who denied the hosts maximum points after forcing a 3-3 draw.
