FKF-PL: Posta Rangers move four points clear at the top

Posta Rangers moved four points clear at the helm of the after narrowly seeing off Kariobangi Sharks 1-0 in an FKF Premier League match played at Kasarani Annex which hosted a doubleheader on Saturday.

Patrick Otieno's seventh-minute goal was enough for Rangers to maintain their unbeaten start to the season as they moved to 13 points, four points ahead of SEAL.

The newbies have done what many have failed to do in the past as they find their way through Sudi Stadium, a stadium that has been Nzoia's fortress.

Wilson Kamua netted the winner for SEAL in the 74th minute, a goal that would see them bounce back to winning ways.

After a perfect start to their debut in the Premier League where they saw off Shabana 1-0 and Kakamega Homeboyz 1-0, SEAL went down the road losing with a similar scoreline to FC Talanta and league leaders Rangers.

In the early kick off match played at Kasarani Annex, Nairobi City Stars registered their second win of the season after edging out Sofapaka 2-1.

Kelvin Etemesi scored in the 32nd minute to give City Stars a narrow 1-0 halftime lead before Evans Maliachi restored parity in 54th minute.

Vincent Owino scored the winner in the 60th minute as City Stars bagged their second win of the 2023-2024 season.

Victory took Simba wa Nairobi to joint third on the log with eight points.

After a poor start to the season where City Stars failed to win any of their three opening matches against Muhoroni Youth (0-0), Bidco United (1-1) and Gor Mahia (4-1 defeat), the team has picked up the pace to record two wins on the bounce.

Last weekend, City Stars saw off Nzoia Sugar 2-1 before repeating the same feat against Sofapaka.

Meanwhile, Kenya Police registered their first win of the 2023-2024 season after seeing off Bidco United 2-0 at Police Sacco Stadium.

Harambee Stars midfielder Kenneth Muguna and Clinton Kinanga netted for Police as Croatian tactician Zdravko Logarusic began his stint with a win.

The win moved Police out of the relegation zone.
