KCB closed the gap between them and leaders Posta Rangers to within three points after seeing off Kakamega Homeboyz 2-0 in a rescheduled Football Kenya Federation (FKF) Premier League match played at Bukhungu Stadium in Kakamega on Wednesday.

Haniff Wesonga and Francis Khairo scored for the bankers who for the first time came back from Kakamega with maximum points.

In their last six meeting at Bukhungu, KCB has never beaten Homeboyz but that changed as their former tactician Bernard Mwalala guided the bankers to glory.

The win moved KCB to within three points of Posta Rangers. KCB have seven points while Rangers have 10 points after four matches played in the 2023-2024 season.

The bankers also moved joint fourth on the log with Tusker.

Kenya Police, Shabana and Sofapaka occupy the relegation zone as Gor Mahia, Kariobangi Sharks occupy the top three alongside Rangers.
