Football fans are in for an exciting weekend as FKF Premier League roars back to action this weekend with nine matches on the card after a two-week international break.

As the league resumes, it is newcomers Murang'a Seal that find themselves at the summit with six points from two wins.

Promoted just last season, Gabriel 'Kingi' Njoroge's side has been a joy to watch. The underdogs have captured the hearts of many fans and pundits alike with their remarkable debut.

With defending champions Gor Mahia and the likes of Tusker, trailing them as the league enters round three, Murang'a have shown that in football, the underdogs can sometimes rise to the occasion and challenge the established order.

The statistics speak volumes as Murang'a are the only club with a 100 percent record in the league so far.

However, football is known for its unpredictability, and as the season progresses, they know that maintaining such a record will be a daunting task.

Murang'a face an acid test against FC Talanta at the Kasarani Annex tomorrow. It will be a moment to prove whether their perfect start is a sign of their true capabilities or a fortunate streak.

On the other hand, Talanta, yet to secure a win, will be eager to give Murang'a a reality check and officially welcome them to the big boys' league.

Gor Mahia, the reigning champions, have had a less-than-ideal start to their title defense.

Currently sitting fifth in the standings with four points, they have managed one win and a draw in their opening fixtures. But their tomorrow's opponents, Nairobi City Stars, are winless after two draws.

The encounter between these two teams could be a turning point for both sides. Gor will aim to regain their momentum, while City Stars known as K'Ogalo's bogey team will seek to record their first victory of the season.

Another team under the spotlight is AFC Leopards, the sleeping giants. Having registered a draw and one defeat in their early-season matches, they are keen to get back on track.

Their today's clash with Muhoroni Youth at Kasarani Stadium offers them an opportunity to reignite their chalk up their first win of the season and appease their success-starved fans.

In other matches today, Nzoia Sugar take on Bidco United at Sudi Stadium, while Kakamega Homeboyz welcome Tusker at Bukhungu Stadium in Kakamega.

Shabana face Kenya Police at the Raila Odinga Stadium as Bandari host Ulinzi Stars at Mbaraki Sports Club. These fixtures promise to provide football fans with a thrilling weekend of action.
