Apec Consortium scored a goal in each half to sink Astral Aviation 2-0 in the Corporate League of the Left Foot Sports at the Sikh Union Club Astro Turf on Forest Road over the weekend.

After dominating the opening exchanges of the closely fought affair, Apec took a deserved lead in the 24th minute when Lucky Asila evaded markers to slot home with his right foot.

Apec went into the half-time break enjoying a 1-0 advantage, and on resumption, they continued to attack Astral, who should thank their goalkeeper for making great saves to keep them in the game.

However, in the 53rd minute, Apec doubled their lead when Asila turned the provider to set up Brian Otara, who made no mistake from inside the box.

In another Corporate fixture, Nation Media Group produced a superb display to earn a 2-2 draw against Microsoft at the same.

Ali Mwalewa and Titus Mbithi scored for Nation Media while Edwin Ouma and John Robert were on target for Microsoft.

Following the draw, Nation maintained their second position on the table, though they have played one more game than Apec, who are sitting at the summit.

In the Social league, Jamhuri Bulls FC secured a convincing 6-0 victory over Saad Advocates.
