In the heart of Murang'a County, a football revolution is brewing.

The county has been a sleeping giant in Kenyan football for far too long. But this season, everything changed.

Murang'a SEAL, freshly promoted to the Football Kenya Federation (FKF) Premier League, has hit the ground running with an electrifying start that has sent shockwaves through the nation.

The stage was set for their debut in the top-flight league.

Last month, Murang'a SEAL faced off against Shabana FC, an experienced side with a reputation for their resilience.

The anticipation in the air was palpable as fans gathered at the brand-new Raila Odinga Stadium in Homa Bay County, eager to witness history in the making. The roar of the crowd filled the stadium as the referee blew his whistle to signal the start of the game.

From the first whistle, it was clear that Murang'a SEAL had come to play. Their players moved with the precision and determination of a well-drilled unit.

As the clock ticked away, tension mounted, and then it happened - a moment that will forever be etched in the memories of Murang'a SEAL fans. Batts Awita came off the bench to score the winner in the 91st minute.

But they didn't stop there. On Saturday, they faced off against Kakamega Homeboyz, another formidable opponent.

The energy and determination displayed by Murang'a SEAL was nothing short of remarkable. They fought tooth and nail, pressing their opponents relentlessly.

Titus Kapchanga would emerge the hero this time round after netting in the 85th minute to hand SEAL their second consecutive win.

Murang'a SEAL led 1-0 once again, and this time, they held firm, securing their second consecutive victory.

The final whistle blew, and Murang'a SEAL had done the unthinkable. They had moved to the top of the 18-team FK-FPL standings with six points after just two matches, leaving defending champions Gor Mahia and Tusker in their wake with four points each.

The rise of Murang'a SEAL FC is a testament to the power of determination, teamwork, and the unwavering support of their passionate fans. They had not just hit the ground running; they had taken off like a rocket, leaving a trail of stunned opponents in their wake.

Will SEAL keep up with the pace? Kenyans will be watching.

Meanwhile, AFC Leopards are finding it tough to start new campaign once again after losing 1-0 to KCB and leaving them in the bottom five.

Despite it being early in the season, many expect Ingwe, a giant, to always hit the ground running and not play catch up as it has been in the past few seasons.

Defending champions Gor Mahia on the other hand picked their first win of the season after seeing off Ulinzi Stars 1-0.
