FKF-PL: Gor Mahia picks first win as Tusker stumble

Defending champions Gor Mahia registered their first win of the 2023-2024 FKF Premier League season after narrowly edging out Ulinzi Stars 1-0 at the Ulinzi Sports Complex on Saturday.

New signing Kevin Juma scored the winning goal for the record Kenyan champions who took their points tally of the season to four points.

Gor began the season with a 1-1 draw against Sofapaka last weekend and needed a win to kick start their title defense.

Victory moves Gor to joint second in the standings with four points same as Posta Rangers, Nzoia Sugar, and Tusker.

At Ruaraka, Tusker had to rally from behind to secure a vital point in their 1-1 draw against Kariobangi Sharks.

Keith Imbali gave Sharks the lead in the 57th minute before Levin Odhiambo forced an own goal with 10 minutes left on the clock.

Tusker began the season with a 1-0 win over Bandari in Mombasa.

Meanwhile, newly promoted Murang'a SEAL are enjoying life in the Premier League after maintaining their 100% start to the season.

SEAL saw off Kakamega Homeboyz 1-0 at their Sportpesa Arena to make it two wins in a row.

Titus Kapchanga emerged as the game's hero, clinching victory for Seal with a decisive late goal, securing maximum points for the team for the second time.

SEAL who were promoted to the Premier League after finishing second in the National Super League (NSL) last season began their new life with a 1-0 win over Shabana in Homa Bay last weekend.
