After earning promotion back to the top flight football in 14 years, Shabana on Friday moved a step closer to the National Super League title after a comfortable 3-0 win over Darajani Gogo.

Peter Ogechi netted a brace to inspire Shabana to a crudial win that moved them three points clear at the top off second placed Murang's SEAL who have also secured an automatic promotion spot to the FKF Premier League next season.

According to the FKF rules, the top two teams from the NSL are promoted automatically to the Premier League while the third placed team plays in a winner takes it all promotion/relegation playoff match.

Ogechi gave Shabana a narrow 1-0 halftime lead after scoring 44th minute free kick.

In the final half, Ongechi doubled the scores with 30 minutes left to play after heading home from a set piece.

Super substitute Nehemiah Onchiri put the result beyond the reach of Gogo after heading home beautifully a cross from the right side of the attack in the 85th minute.

Victory saw the Glamour Boys move top with 67 points, three above the second-placed Murang'a Seal.
