Shabana FC and Murang'a Seal on Sunday earned their promoted to the 2023-2024 Football Kenya Federation Premier League.

This is after both sides won their respective National Super League (NSL) matches that saw them move to 64 points each, 11 points off third placed with three matches left. This means, the third placed team cannot overtake either Shabana or Seal.

Shabana edged out promotion hopeful Migori Youth 1-0 in a chaotic match at Gusii Stadium as Seal also registered a similar shoreline in their win against Coastal Heroes FC in Mombasa.

Ali Yusuf scored the all-important goal in first-half stoppage time, an advantage that they protected in the second half to bag maximum points.

In Kisii, a third-minute goal from Shabana winger Isaac' Otieno was all the Sammy Okoth-led side needed to beat Migori Youth return to the FKF-PL.

Both teams have 64 points but Seal are top courtesy of a superior goal difference but Shabana has a game in hand.

Shabana return to the top tier for the first time since 2006 while Murang'a will grace the FKF PL for the first time ever.
