Muthini FC crowned Power Cup champions

Muthini FC are the winners of the inaugural itel P40 Power Cup after beating Mukuyuni FC 3-0 in the finals at UNOA grounds, Wote in Makueni County.

Oscar Odoo scored a brace with Daniel Somba also getting his name on the scoresheet to inspire Muthini to victory.

Platinumz FC finished third after seeing off Kyamukumu 1-0 in the playoffs thanks to Barak Olunga's goal.

For winning the trophy, Muthini pocketed Sh20,000 in prize money and 15 jerseys, while Mukuyuni received Sh15,000 and 15 jerseys. Platinumz walked home with Sh10,000. The tournament which attracted 16 teams was organised by itel P40 in partnership with StarTimes.

Top scorer Daniel Muema (9 goals) of Mukuyuni, best goalkeeper Abdalla Musha and best coach Mulonzi Katimu each received an itel P40 phone.

On their way to the final, Mukuyuni whitewashed Kyamukumu 6-0 as Muthini defeated Platinumz 1-0 in the semi-finals.
