Kenya Police and Ulinzi Stars 'Disciplined Forces Derby' ends in draw again

Kenya Police and Ulinzi Stars played out to a 1-1 stalemate in a thrilling Football Kenya Federation (FKF) Premier League match played at Nyayo Stadium on Friday.

Harambee Stars striker Elvis Rupia gave Police a 1-0 halftime lead after scoring in the 31st minute.

However, Stephen Etyang ensured the Law Enforcers will not go home with the 'Disciplined Forcers Derby' bragging rights after securing appoint for the soldiers with a 68th minute equalizer which secured a point for Ulinzi.

The draw leaves Ulinzi joint seventh on 45 points same as AFC Leopards as Police remained fourth with 57 points, seven points off leaders Tusker who face off against record Kenyan champions Gor Mahia in a potential title decider match on Sunday.

On the other hand, Rupia moved two goals shy off the Golden Boot leader Benson Omalla after scoring his 23rd goal of the season. Omalla has 25 goals.

Police and Ulinzi have now met four times in the league since Police were promoted in 2021 and all matches ending in a draw.

Before Friday's encounter, all the three matches ended in draws of 0-0, 2-2 and 0-0.

Ulinzi Stars have however defeated Police 2-1 but in the FKF Cup quarterfinals.
