Tusker head coach Robert Matano does not have the FKF Premier League title fight in mind as he shifts his focus to their Football Kenya Federation (FKF) Cup semifinals against Ulinzi Stars from 12pm at Nyayo Stadium.

Matano said they are focused on doing the double this season as they lead the race to win this year's Premier League title.

"The Premier League is not on our minds ahead of this game. We know that we must prepare well mentally and tactically because it is not going to be an easy match against Ulinzi.

"This is a different competition and cannot be compared to the league. Everything is at stake for both teams and we will have to dig even deeper if we are to win," said Matano.

Tusker secured their place in the last four after registering a 2-0 victory over KCB while Ulinzi Stars saw off Sofapaka on post-match penalties after playing out to a 1-1 draw.

In the second match, AFC Leopards will be seeking to build on the Mashemeji derby win and qualify for the finals when they renew rivalry with Kakamega Homeboyz from 3pm.

With the Caf Confederation Cup slot at stake, Ingwe coach Patrick Aussems is focused on leading Leopards to play in continental matches next season after missing out on the local league title.

League leaders Tusker, Gor Mahia and Nzoia are the teams that are still fighting to win the league title. Tusker are on 64 points, Gor Mahia 63 and Nzoia 60 while Leopards are on 45 points, hence their focus on winning the FKF Cup.

At the end of the competition, the winners of the FKF Cup will not only bag Sh2million prize money but will also earn a ticket to play in Caf Confederation Cup.
