KCB rally to deny AFC Leopards maximum points

KCB on Sunday came from two goals down to force a 2-2 draw against AFC Leopards in the FKF Premier League match played at Kasarani Stadium behind closed doors.

The Football Kenya Federation banned Leopards fans from gracing the field for fur consecutive home matches alongside being docked three points and fined Sh500, 000 for caused chaos in their round 25 clash against Kakamega Homeboyz last Sunday at Bukhungu Stadium.

Despite missing their passionate fans at the stands, Peter Thiongo gave Leopards a third minute lead before Kenyan international Victor Omune ensured Ingwe would take a comfortable 2-0 lead at the break after striking at the stroke of half time.

In the final half, Cliffe Oruko pulled one goal back three minutes after the restart before second half substitute Francis Kairo struck the equaliser for KCB three minutes from time.

The stalemate leaves KCB fourth with 49 points from 26 matches while Leopards are eighth with 38 points from the same number of matches.

At Bukhungu Stadium in Kakamega, hosts Kakamega Homeboyz thumped bottom-placed Vihiga Bullets 2-0.

Hillary Otieno and Brian Eshihanda scored for Homeboyz in the second half as they condemned Bullets to the bottom of the table.

Homeboyz are seventh with 38 points 26 matches, while Vihiga remain bottom with eight points.
