Nzoia Sugar moved second in the FKF Premier League standings after narrowly edging off Ulinzi Stars 1-0 in a round 21 match played at the Sudi Stadium in Bungoma County on Wednesday.

Yassin Siije scored the all-important goal that saw the sugar men bring to an end their five match winless streak.

Victory also moved the Salim Babu coached side move above AFC Leopards and Kenya Police to second in the 18-team standings on 38 points, four points off leaders Gor Mahia.

Additionally, Nzoia completed a double over Ulinzi Stars whom they defeated 2-1 in January during the first leg played at Ulinzi Sports Complex in Nairobi.

Nzoia also stretched their unbeaten run at the Sudi Stadium Fortress to 11 matches this season, with only AFC Leopards, Kakamega Homeboyz, Posta Rangers, Gor Mahia and Bandari the only sides to pick a point each.

Meanwhile, Ulinzi also failed to win in their third match in arrow (two loses and one draw).
