Record Kenyan league champions Gor Mahia will be seeking revenge for the first leg defeat to KCB when they face the bankers today in a top of the table FKF Premier League match at Kasarani Stadium from 3pm.

KCB ended K'Ogalo's unbeaten run in January when they saw off the 19-time champions 1-0 and Gor head coach Jonathan McKinstry will be keen to avoid another defeat as they continue pushing to reclaim the title they last won in 2020.

Speaking ahead of the match, McKinstry said he believes they have the quality to beat every team and what they should work on is consistency by defending well and be clinical in front of goal.

"It has been a good run so far but I still believe we can get further and do even better. We are not under rating any team nor will slow down our pace because for us to win the title we have to win almost all of our games.

"We lost against KCB in January, a defeat we could have avoided if we took our chances. Today we have not only be better than we played in January but also perfect how we played in our last match against Bidco United," said McKinstry.

Gor has posted mixed results in their last five matches, a bumpy run that has seen their earlier nine-point gap reduced to five points.

K'Ogalo are currently leading the FKF Premier League standings on 41 points, five ahead of KCB after 19 matches.

Gor will be banking on Benson Omalla who leads the top scorer's list with 19 goals to continue to lead from the front line as the former Western Stima striker chases history. Omalla is six-goals shy off Eric Kapaito's 25-goals achievement two season's ago.

At Ulinzi Sports Grounds, defending champions Tusker who seem to have found their winning mojo will be seeking to close the gap on leaders Gor when they face Ulinzi Stars.

The brewers are currently third on the log with 35 points and a game in hand. Three wins in a row and a draw in their last four matches have lifted Tusker from sixth to third as they push to try and retain their title.

Rising Mathare United on the other hand will hope to continue with their survival push when they welcome Bandari in an early kick off match at Kasarani Annex which will host a double header.

Five wins in their last seven matches has lifted the Slum Boys from the relegation zone to 14th with 19 points. The second match at the same venue will be between Sofapaka and Kakamega Homeboyz.

Other matches will see bottom-placed Vihiga Bullets host Kariobangi Sharks at Bukhungu Stadium, Posta Rangers entertain AFC Leopards at Nyayo Stadium and Nzoia Sugar welcome Kenya Police at Sudi Stadium in Bungoma.
