Wazito Football Club picked their first win of the season season after beating Vihiga Bullets 3-1 in a rescheduled Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKF) Premier League match at Bukhungu Stadium, in Kakamega, yesterday.

Abubakar Eneji, Hillary Otieno and Cliff Oruko found the back of the net for Wazito as striker Vincent Ogola scored a consolation goal for Bullets to take his tally this season to four goals.

The win against Bullets pushed Wazito to 14th on the log with four points.

At Kasarani Annex, former champions Mathare United battled to a 1-1 draw against Posta Rangers to pick their first points of the season after a difficult start to the 2022-2023 season.

The Slum Boys had lost three straight games heading into the midweek encounter and were looking for a perfect start, which did not happen.

Calvin Odongo gave Posta the lead in the 39th minute, before Chris Owino levelled for the Slum Boys in the 65th minute.

The draw took Posta's points tally to 12, but they still sit seventh from eight rounds of matches.

In the women's Premier League, Vihiga Queens thrashed Kayole Starlets 3-0 thanks to goals from Merciline Wayodi, Maurine Achieng and Fidy Njoki.

In another encounter, Bunyore Starlest shocked Thika Queens 2-1. Madalina Airin and Priscar AKinyi netted for the visitors as Chris Kach grabbed Thika's consolation.

The other match saw Gaspo Women thrash Kangemi Ladies 4-0. [Washington Onyango]
