Defending champions Tusker and Gor Mahia will be seeking to maintain their unbeaten start to the 2022-2023 FKF Premier League season when the league enters match day six with nine-midweek fixtures lined up before the festive season break.

At the same time, it will be the season opener for Mathare United, Wazito and Vihiga Bullets who will play their first games of the season after the end of the relegation and promotion saga.

FKF NEC Council had last month declared the 2021-2022 season null and void which rendered relegation and promotion invalid and therefore saving the trio.

Affected clubs including APS Bomet who were promoted from the NSL rushed to the SDT which temporarily barred the trio from playing before FKF last week successfully applied for judicial review in a constitutional court which issued a stay order against the SDT decision.

Seven league ties will be played on Wednesday and another two on Thursday as the league enters its sixth round.

After midweek fixtures, the league will take a Christmas and New Year break before resuming on January 4, 2023.
Mathare United will host on-form Nzoia Sugar who are currently joint second with 10 points as Wazito, who have switched their base to Muhoroni, will be at home to struggling Bidco United.

Vihiga Bullets meanwhile will make a trip to Thika Stadium to play Posta Rangers.
Leaders and champions Tusker will be seeking to bag their fifth win in a row after a perfect start to the season where they have picked four wins out of four already.

Tusker, who lead the table standings on 12 points after four rounds of matches, face KCB who have amassed nine points from five games.

Record champions Gor Mahia and AFC Leopards who didn't record wins over the weekend have dates with Bandari and Kakamega Homeboyz respectively.
