Man Utd outcast Cristiano Ronaldo sensationally tells Piers Morgan he wants Arsenal to WIN Premier League AP

Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo has said he would be happy if Arsenal win the Premier League title this season if his team does not.

Arsenal currently sits atop the Premier League heading into the World Cup, and they hold a five-point advantage over Manchester City after 14 rounds of Premier League action, with United 11 points adrift of the Gunners.

Fifth-place United have struggled for stability in the Premier League this season, while Gunners have lost just once - at Old Trafford - as they look for a first top-flight crown since going unbeaten in the 2004-05 season.

Ronaldo, speaking with Piers Morgan on Thursday night, admitted that he's an admirer of their manager Mikel Arteta, so he would love the Gunners to finish first if his own side misses out.

"I like the team. I like the coach. I think they have a good team. And if Manchester United doesn't win the Premier League, I will be happy if Arsenal does," Ronaldo told Piers Morgan who is also a huge Gooner himself.
Ronaldo himself has three Premier League titles to his name but is unlikely to get the chance to add a fourth.

The 37-year-old has also confessed he does not even know if he will be back at Old Trafford after the World Cup.

In the interview, the Portugal star said he was open to returning to the club after World Cup - even though he acknowledged that a "new chapter" might be best for both sides.
