Reinstated Football Kenya Federation (FKF) has on Wednesday declared the 2021-2022 FKF Premier League season null and void.

FKF's National Executive Committee said after their meeting that all leagues played last season will not be recognized and that there will be no promotion or relegation in the

FKF Premier League, National Super League, and Women Premier League.

"The 2021-2022 FKF Premier League, National Super League, Women Premier League, Men's Division One, and Women's Division One leagues will not be recognized and have been declared null and void."
"Additionally, there will be no promotion or relegation in the FKF Premier League, National Super League, and Women Premier League," read a letter signed by FKF CEO Barry Otieno.

NEC also stated that the FKF Men's Division One and FKF Women's Division One leagues will neither promote nor relegate.

"The resolution by the FKF National Executive Committee has been guided by FKF Statutes, FIFA statutes, FKF Rules and Regulations (2019), and the Sports Dispute

Tribunal rulings on a number of cases filed at the Tribunal, regarding the 2021/2022 League season," said Otieno.

On the bright side, NEC ruled that 2021/2022 FKF Division Two, Regional and County leagues run by FKF Branches, in accordance with the FKF statutes and the FKF

Rules and Regulations (2019) Governing Kenyan Football shall be recognized and their decisions upheld.

They added that 2021/2022 FKF Division Two, Regional, and County leagues will promote and relegate clubs to their respective tiers.

"The Men's and Women's Division One leagues will be expanded for the season 2022/2023 to include teams promoted from the FKF Div. Two and Women Regional Leagues, respectively. The FKF Women Div One and FKF Men's Division One league will be regularized in the 2023/2024 league season," the letter further revealed.

Finally, FKF NEC said the long-awaited FKF Premier League kick-off will be November 19 as National Super League commences on November 26.
