Paris St Germain have announced the decision to part ways with head coach Mauricio Pochettino.

The Argentinian who joined the French giants in January last year has failed to live up to expectations at the Le Parc des Princes, even though he won one Ligue 1 title, the 2020 Champions Trophy, the 2021 Coupe de France.

Pochettino was in charge of PSG for 84 games.

Former Nice coach Christophe Galtier is set to replace Pochettino and is reported to have agreed a two-year deal with the club.

Galtier is no stranger to football faithful in France. He is responsible for leading Saint Etienne to the Coupe de la Ligue trophy in 2013.

Galtier kept Lille safe and guided them to the Champions League in his first season, after finishing second overall.

He led Lille to the Ligue 1 trophy in the 2020-21 season, finishing a point ahead of PSG.
