The race to earn next season's Football Kenya Federation Premier League promotion is shaping up to be a three-horse race after leaders APS Bomet, Fortune Sacco and Muhoroni Youth all won their National Super League (NSL) weekend matches and boosting their chances of moving up.

Fortune Sacco and Muhoroni Youth registered vital 2-1 and 1-0 respective wins against Mara Sugar and Silibwet to heap pressure on runaway leaders APS Bomet.

APS Bomet collected three points without sweat after benefiting from a 2-0 walkover dished out by Dandora Love whoo failed to show up.

Dandora had this week written a letter to the FKF Transition Committee withdrawing from the league and have now been relegated to the FKF Division One after missing three matches in a row.

With six matches to go before the 2021/22 season ends, APS Bomet leads the log on 66 points after 32 matches.

Fortune Sacco hit the 60 points mark after 32 games and are a point above Muhoroni Youth currently in the relegation/promotion playoffs position.

Top two teams at the end of the season will be promoted to the top tier league automatically by virtue of finishing second and first as the third placed team will be forced to face Wazito in the relegation-promotion playoffs match.

Meanwhile, fourth and fifth placed Muli Children Family (MCF) and Shabana secured 1-0 and 3-1 wins against Migori Youth and Kibera Black Stars respectively.

Meanwhile, the NSL was overshadowed with three walkovers.

Apart from the Dandora Love walkover, other two walkovers were witnessed in the matches pitting Mombasa Elite and Vihiga United at Mbaraki Sports Ground and Zoo Kericho against SS Assad at Kericho Green Stadium.

Dandora Love and Zoo Kericho have already been relegated.
