Sports CS Amina appoints a 12-member Transition Committee to run football activities

Sports CS Amina Mohamed has appointed a 12-member Transition Committee to run football for the next five weeks, replacing Caretaker Committee whose term expired on May 11.

The Committee consists of members who were in the Caretaker under the leadership of Rtd Justice, Aaron Ringera.

The members of the Transition Committee are Aaron Ringera (Chairperson), Maurice Oyugi (Vice-Chairperson), Ali Amour, Bobby Ogolla, Neddy Atieno, Ceasar Handa, Hassan Haji, J. J. Masiga (Dr.), Michael Muchemi, Rachael Kamweru, Mwangi Muthee and Anthony Isayi.

Members of the secretariat are Lindah Oguttu, who will continue service as the head of the secretariat, Lorine Nerea (Secretary), Edward Rombo (Joint Secretary) Robin Toskin, Maxwell Wasike and  Rashid Shedu.

Former FKF vice president Titus Kasuve and ex KRU boss Richard Omwela are among those who have been dropped from the committee.

The committee is also tasked with ensuring that Football Kenya Federation operates within the provisions of the Sports Act, 2013.

Other mandate of the Transition Committee shall be to co-ordinate and ensure the smooth running of Football Kenya Federation operations, including team preparations for local and international sporting events; and also co-ordinate and facilitate the validation of the draft Constitution of Football Kenya Federation.
