Caretaker Committee summons all FKF branches to deliberate state of compliance, finance

The FKF Caretaker Committee has summoned all Football Kenya Federation branches to a meeting at the Nyayo National Stadium on March 9th.

This comes barely a week after FIFA Suspended Kenya from any international football and Sports CS Amina Mohammed confirming FKF cleanup will proceed.

The purpose of the meeting is to deliberate on FIFA suspension, brief branches on the current status of Kenyan football and the way forward and deliberate on the state of compliance of football stakeholders.

In a letter seen by the Standard Sports and signed by FKF Caretaker Committee Chairman Retired Justice Aaron Ringera, all branch officials are required to furnish the Committee with EACC clearance of office holders and Certificate of good conduct of office holders.

“The above-mentioned documents are mandatory in law for all elected Branches and SubBranches officials and will be of great assistance to the Caretaker Committee in terms of establishing the legitimacy of the office holders,” said Ringera.

Names of Bank, Account Numbers and Signatories, Audited Accounts from date of joining office, Bank Statements for 2016 to 2021, M-pesa Statements received from Clubs and KRA Returns, 2016/2017, 2017/2018, 2018/2019, 2019/2020 and 2020/2021 are also needed.

Other include Copies of receipts issued to clubs for all monies received, Contracts, minutes of all sponsorships including County Government funding, County Development Fund, Sports, Arts and Social Development Fund.

“The FKF Caretaker Committee, therefore, directs that all FKF Branches furnish the Committee with particulars listed above within seven days from the date of this letter to help in the discharge of the committee’s mandate,” concluded Ringera.
