Bottom placed Vihiga Bullets will be hoping to turn around their poor form when they entertaining last season’s runners up KCB in a FKF Premier League match to be played at Bukhungu Stadium in Kakamega on Saturday.

The local Premier League returns this weekend after one-week break with five matches lined up on Saturday while four others on Sunday.

Vihiga Bullets are currently rooted at the bottom of the log with seven points, same as Mathare United who are 17th courtesy of goal difference.

A win over the bankers will propel them out of the bottom for the first time in the 2021-2022 season.

At Ruaraka, relegation-threatened Mathare United will be playing FC Talanta while hoping to end their nine match winless run.

The Slum Boys are second bottom with seven points and yet to win in their last ten matches. Their record of two wins, one draw, and 13 losses in the 16 games played leaves them under dogs against Talanta.

Kariobangi Sharks will be seeking to cut the gap between them and FKF Premier League leaders Kakamega Homeboyz to within two points when they host Nairobi City Stars in as top of the table clash set to be played at Kasarani Main Stadium

Sharks, fresh from their commanding 3-0 win over Sofapaka during their last match are currently second in the log with 28 points, five behind leaders Homeboyz who will be in action tomorrow.

A win for Sharks will solidify their second spot and put more pressure on Homeboyz.

However, City Stars are also a threat to Sharks as they enjoy a four match unbeaten run.

Often referred to as Simba wa Nairobi by fans, City Stars are third also on 28 points but with an inferior goal difference compared to Sharks.

They will be banking on their impressive show against Homeboyz (4-4 and 1-1 back to back draws) to propel them to victory and move second.

Other matches of the day will feature as Ulinzi Stars face Wazito at ASK Showground in Nakuru.
