Kenya Police FC will be seeking to extend their unbeaten run to eight games when they clash with Ulinzi Stars in a highly anticipated FKF Premier League match at Nyayo Stadium today.

Having already roped in the youthful trio of goalkeeper Job Ochieng (Mathare United), David Owino (KCB), and Eric Juma (Kariobangi Sharks) in the ongoing transfer window, the new comers are determined to prove a point in the league this season.

While Ochieng has been offered a four-year deal, Owino and Juma have signed a one year and two year deals respectively.

Bobby Ogolla’s men, who rallied to beat Mathare United over the weekend, have also been strongly linked with Kenyan international duo of Francis Kahata and Gor Mahia captain Harun Shakava.

With the law enforcers currently ninth on the log with 19 points three points ahead of their today’s opponents, Police FC Chief Executive Officer Chris Oguso says his boys are ready for the battle with the soldiers.

“Since it’s a derby, we all know what is at stake but our target is to maintain the unbeaten run,” said Ogusu.

“I can also confirm that we have officially signed Ochieng (Job), Owino (David) and Juma (Eric). We still have a few major signings to make before we close business.”

Other today’s fixtures will see Gor Mahia take on Bidco United at Kasarani as Sofapaka tackle Kariobangi Sharks in Taita Taveta. Another highlight of the mid-week will be tomorrow’s match between league leaders Kakamega Homeboyz (31 points) and second placed Nairobi City Stars (26) at Bukhungu Stadium.

It will be a reunion between City Stars coach Nicholas Muyoti and his former employers.

For Homeboyz chairman Cleophas Shimanyula, this is another chance for his troops to prove their title credential.
