Sofapaka and Bandari both registered their fifth wins of the campaign after winning their mid-week FKF Premier League matches played on Wednesday.

In Kakamega, bottom placed Vihiga Bullets woes continued after losing 2-0 to Sofapaka at Bukhungu Stadium.

Lawrence Juma and Hansel Ochieng scored in each half to hand Sofapaka their fifth win of the season which moved them joint fourth in the log with Gor Mahia and Sharks on 18 points.

Bandari on the other hand moved third in the FKF Premier League standings after narrowly edging out 10-man Ulinzi Stars 1-0 in a mid-week match staged at Mbaraki Sports Club in Mombasa

Johanna Mwita’s goal in the fifth minute of the first half was enough to hand Bandari their fifth win of the campaign after 10 matches played.

Victory saw the dockers end their four match winless run in the league as maximum points lifted them three places up in the log above record Kenyan champions Gor Mahia, Nairobi City Stars and Kariobangi Sharks on 19 points.

The soldiers who in the process lost their second match of the season remained ninth with 15 points.

The other match saw Sharks play out to a 1-1 draw with FC Talanta.
