Wazito bagged their second win of the season after thrashing Mathare United 4-1 in an FKF Premier League match staged at Utalii Grounds on Sunday.

Musa Masika bagged a brace as Vincent Oburu and Ellie Asieche added to the scoresheet to move out of the drop zone.

The win saw the moneybags move two points above the drop zone with nine points after 10 matches played.

The Moneybags went ahead through Eli Asieche before Ken Ochieng restored parity from the spot in first-half stoppage time.

Musa Masika then restored Wazito's lead from the spot just before the break. Masika and Vincent Oburu then added two more in the second half.

At Nyayo Stadium, former Gor Mahia striker Edwin Lavatsa scored in the second half to deny AFC Leopards maximum points as Talanta held the 11-time champions to a 1-1 draw.

Daniel Musamali had given Ingwe a 1-0 halftime lead after scoring in the 10th minute before Lavatsa ensured Talanta shared the spoils with an equalizer immediately after the restart.

The draw leaves Leopards two point above the relegation zone with nine points.
