National Super League clubs agree to resume league on December 4

The National Super League (NSL) clubs have agreed to resume the league on December 4, 2021.
This is after the teams met with the Football Kenya Federation (FKF) Caretaker Committee at Nyayo National Stadium in Nairobi on Thursday.
During the fruitful meeting, the clubs nominated Daniel Magara (Kibera Black Stars), Nicholas Ochieng (Kisumu All Stars), Rose Chemutai (APS Bomet), Moses Adagala (Muhoroni Youth) to work closely with the Committee to ensure smooth resumption of the league.
"The teams resolved to support the Government initiative to install the Committee with a view to revamp football in the country," FKF Caretaker Committee League,Compliance and Clubs Chairman Ali Amour said.
Clubs that attended the meeting included APS Bomet, Fortune Sacco, Mombasa Elite, Zoo FC, Kibera Black Stars, Kisumu All Stars, Gusii United, Shabana FC, Muhoroni Youth and Mullys Children Family.

Others were Mara Sugar, Naivas, Silbwet, Migori Youth, SS Assad and Dandora Love.
Absent with apology were Vihiga United, Mwatate United and Mombasa Heroes.
Muranga Seal did not send an apology.
"Halting the league gave us an opportunity to give it a clear direction with a significant purpose.
"It gave clubs a chance to prepare well for the remaining matches.
"Clubs took stock of where the rains started to beat them," Committee representative Dan Shikanda said when they met with Kenyan Premier League clubs on Wednesday.
Shikanda gave assurance that players and clubs will get value for their money in the new leagues to resume.
He reiterated that Covid-19 protocols would be followed to the letter during the games.
On its first day of operation on November 12, the Committee unanimously suspended the FKF Premier League, National Super League, Division One league, Women's Premier League and Women's Division One League.
The committee also took over the national team Harambee Stars after FKF President Nick Mwendwa’s office was disbanded by the State upon recommendation of an inspection committee constituted by the Registrar of Sports Rose Wasike.
