Nairobi City Stars closed the gap between them and leaders Gor Mahia to within a point after thrashing newbies Vihiga Bullets 4-0 in  in a Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKFPL) clash staged at the Ruaraka Grounds on Saturday.

Abdallah Salim, Ezekiel Odera, Anthony Kimani and Vincent Otieno all scored to lift Simba wa Nairobi” to their “fourth win of the season.

The win saw City Stars extended their unbeaten run to five games with their only defeat coming at the hands of Sofapaka on the opening day of the season on September 26.

City Stars headed into the match in the wake of their fine form where they boast of winning three games (Bidco, Wazito and Kenya Police) on the spin before settling for a barren draw against Posta Rangers last time out.

On the other hand, Vihiga Bullets are looking out of place and pace since garnering promotion last season from the National Super League and are yet to register victory in the top flight league.

Nicholas Muyoti's men took an early 10th minute advantage when Anthony Kimani whipped in an inch perfect free kick that evaded everyone and found Abdalla in the far post for a simple tap in.

In the final half, City Stars doubled the scores in the 62nd minute when Timothy Ouma delivered a cross to Oliver Maloba whose touch was heavy but fell kindly to Ezekiel Odera who tapped in for a 2-0 lead.

Kimani bagged his second successive goal after his strike against Posta Rangers last time out profiting from a goal mouth melee after Vihiga Bullets failed to clear their lines.

Kimani then turn provider after sending a long pass from his own half that found substitute Vincent Otieno who sealed the 4-0 victory with a one-time shot.
