Posta Rangers registered their first win of the new campaign after thrashing newbies Vihiga Bullets 4-0 in a Football Kenya Federation Premier League match played at Thika Stadium on Friday.

Despite holding off Bidco United last month during the opening match of the season, Vihiga Bullets got a rude welcome to the top league after free-scoring Rangers put four goals through their defense, scoring two goals in each half.

Rangers put behind their 1-0 loss to Kariobangi Sharks on an opening day to run riot against Bullets where Chrispinus Onyango, Eliud Lokuwam, Victor Ndinya and Caleb Olilo scored to earn them three points.

Bullets have one point so far which was registered when they played out to a 0-0 draw with Bidco on the opening day of the league last month.

At Sudi Stadium, Nzoia Sugar held highflying Sofapaka to a barren draw to bag their first point of the season. Coming from a 1-0 defeat to Ulinzi Stars, the sugar men kept the 2009 champions at bay.

Sofapaka meanwhile maintained their second place with four points having thrashed Nairobi City Stars 3-1 last month.
