FKF Premier League top scorer Erick Kapito continued with his impressive run of form scoring a brace and providing an assist to take his season tally to 24 goals in Kariobangi Sharks' 3-1 victory over visiting Nzoia Sugar.

Kapaito is now four goals shy of Charles Odero’s (Scarlet FC) feat (28 goals) he achieved in the 1983 season.

The win saw Sharks go level on 47 points with third placed AFC Leopards who beat Ulinzi Stars on Thursday.

After failing to register a win in their last three matches, Kapaito who has also not scored since their 2-1 win over Gor Mahia in July 21 rose to the occasion to steer Sharks to their 14th win of the season.

Sharks are now left with Bidco United and Sofapaka to play against before the season ends as Kapaito looks to attempt to break the 38 year old standing 28-goals a season record.

Elsewhere, Mathare United will be aiming to get further way from the drop zone when they face Bandari in Mombasa on Saturday.

Defending champions Gor Mahia will take on Bidco United in Thika’s one of the double header's tie. The other match will feature Sofapaka and Wazito.

The other fixture will see Nairobi City Stars play Posta Rangers.
