Belgian tactician Patrick Aussems is targeting to win the FKF Premier League title next season after renewing his contract with AFC Leopards.

The former Simba SC coach penned down a two-year deal with Leopards which will keep him at the den until 2023.

On Twitter, Aussems expressed delight in extending his contract with Leopards and said he is focused on masterminding better results come next season.

“I decided to extend my collaboration with AFC Leopards despite other offers. Target: to win titles by producing modern and attractive football and make fans happy. Let us all be focused on the success next season!”

“Future is bright! Tuwe pamoja kufanikisha lengo hili!” posted the coach.

Ingwe have been holding intensive talks with the Belgian to convince him to stay despite the financial challenges facing the club.

AFC Leopards fans joined the Twitter conversation by supporting the Belgian coach.

“Been waiting for this tweet since last month, now I can relax,” said Gerald Masiga.

Wanda Wesonga posted, “You're a gift from heaven in African football. Be blessed boss.”

“Omwami I believe you are the right man to take AFC Leopards to a continental championship and ultimately to brings trophies to our cabinet which has been trophyless for long. Gaffer tuko pamoja kufanikisha lengo hili!,” said Ekokwa Ochango.

Aussems was appointed by the 12-time champions in February this year on a short term contract, taking over from then-interim coach Anthony Kimani.
