Tusker fought back from two goals down to hold KCB to a 2-2 draw in a thrilling FKF Premier League top of the table match played at Thika Stadium in Nairobi on Sunday.

Derrick Otanga had given the bankers a 2-0 half time lead after netting in the 17th and 24th minute of the opening half before Humphrey Mieno put a Man of the Match performance to inspire the league leaders back into the game by scoring and assisting.

Mieno tapped home after a KCB defensive error before releasing Jackson Macharia with a long range through ball that he controlled and scored ensuring they share the spoils.

The draw saw Tusker maintain their four-point gap between them and the bankers as they took their total points of the campaign to 51 points.

Otanga put KCB ahead in the 17th minute with a brilliant finish after Michael Oduor found him with a cross from the left wing.

He would go on to double KCB's lead seven minutes later thanks to Robert Mboya's howler in goal for Tusker after he delayed to release the ball which Otanga took charge off to slot home easily.

At the same grounds, Bidco United and Sofapaka FC battled to a barren draw in a toothless encounter that was a repeat of their first leg match.

Following the result, Sofapaka maintained their 11th place on the log with 29 points, while Bidco remain 12th on 28 points.

Bidco's coach Anthony Akhulia was satisfied with the draw terming it an improvement after losing their last match 1-0 to Nzoia Sugar.

“This is a positive result for us after the loss in Nakuru. Recovery is always important at this stage and to hold an inform Sofapaka side showed we are back. We just need a few twists and amend some of our attacking decisions and we will be back to win,” Akhulia said.

Tusker remain top of the standings as the race for the 2021 Premier League title begins to widen with only AFC Leopards and KCB capable of catching them.

Kariobangi Sharks vs Nzoia Sugar was postponed to a later date.
