FC Talanta will be seeking to maintain their top spot when they host Muranga Seals at GEMS Cambridge Grounds on Saturday in one of the scheduled four National Super League matches.

Talanta are currently leading the NSL standings with 44 points as the race for earning Football Kenya Federation Premier League promotion continues to heat up.

Fresh from their narrow 2-1 win over Modern Coast Rangers that saw them reclaim their top spot, Talanta captain Barack Odhiambo is confident of registering their 14th win of the season.

“The team has been playing as a unit and getting positives results since the beginning of the campaign and we are looking forward to improving and maintain our form.”

“Our target remains the same as we seek to be promoted to the top league. This goal will and can only be achieved if we continue playing well and winning games both at home and away,” he said.

At Ruaraka Grounds, second placed Kenya Police will be aiming to keep tabs on the leaders when they host Nairobi Stima.

Police lost their top spot last weekend after they were given a rest but remain one point behind Talanta with 43 points same as Kibera Black Stars but having played a game more.

Fourth placed Shabana FC will also be seeking to keep tabs with the top two teams when they travel to play MCF at Thika Stadium.

Shabana are three points behind leaders Talanta and two behind second placed Kibera and Police.

The final match will feature fifth placed Fortune Sacco entertain APS Bomet.
