Musa Masika scored a second half stunner as Wazito FC ended Nairobi City Stars' five-match winning streak in the midweek Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKF-PL) match played at Ruaraka grounds in Nairobi on Wednesday.

Masika’s goal was enough to hand the 'Moneybags' all three points in their narrow 1-0 win, a victory that saw them bounce back to winning ways after losing their last match 2-1 to AFC Leopards.

Maximum points saw Wazito leapfrog Ulinzi Stars into eighth place on 30 points, pending the soldiers' clash with Tusker at ASK Showgrounds in Nakuru later in the day.

Meanwhile, City Stars remain fifth on 32 points.

In Thika, Bidco United fought from a goal down to hold Kakamega Homeboyz to a 1-1 draw in a tight match played at Thika Stadium.

David Okoth gave the visitors, Homeboyz, the lead in the 27th minute before Peter Nzuki restored parity for Bidco United in the 36th minute.

The draw leaves Kakamega Homeboyz ninth in the log with 28 points as Bidco remain 11th on 27 points.

In Nakuru, Sofapaka ended their three-match winless run with a narrow 1-0 victory over relegation-threatened Western Stima.

Heading into the match, Sofapaka had lost to Gor Mahia and drew with Ulinzi Stars and AFC Leopards.

The win takes them joint 11th with Bidco with 37 points but with an inferior goal difference.

Five matches are currently ongoing with focus being on Tusker versus Ulinzi tie and KCB versus Nzoia Sugar where the winner of either matches or loss will decide who will represent Kenya at the 2021-2022 Caf Champions League
