Harambee Stars head coach 'Ghost' Mulee undergoes surgery

Harambee Stars head coach Jacob 'Ghost' Mulee on Saturday took to social media to assure his followers that all was well after he underwent a surgical procedure.

The 52-year-old tactician is believed to have travelled to India a few weeks ago to seek medical attention.

However, according to his Instagram post, Mulee did not give details of his treatment or when he underwent the surgery. 

“We thank God for a successful procedure. Well taken care of! Undugu ni kufaana si kufanana,” read his Instagram post.

Following his post, Kenyan striker Michael Olunga was among those who wished Mulee a speedy recovery.

"Quick recovery boss yangu,"Olunga commented.

Mulee's health update comes seven months after he was involved in a car crash along Brookside Drive on Waiyaki Way.

He was reportedly released a few hours later after doctors at the Aga Khan hospital gave him a clean bill of health.

Mulee took over from Francis Kimanzi who had overseen a number of matches including two Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Togo and Egypt.
