Ibrahimovic to stay at AC Milan for one more year

Sweden international striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has reportedly agreed to extend his contract at Italian giants AC Milan.

According to sources, Ibrahimovic is set to sign a new one-year contract with the Rossoneri, with the club expected to make an official announcement later in the evening.

Italian football journalist Fabrizio Romano confirmed the news on his Twitter, saying the 39-year-old striker will stay at the club until at least 2022.

At the start of April, AC Milan technical director Paolo Maldini revealed the Swede was close to signing a new contract.

“There are only small details missing and, therefore, we are very close to the renewal," said Maldini.

Ibrahimovic has scored 15 goals in 16 Serie A games for Milan this season.
