Manchester United French youngster Aliou Traore has completed a long move to Ligue 2 side Stade Malherbe Caen (SM Caen).

The 19-year-old joins immediately and will be hoping to get some valuable game-time, with needed experience as he progresses with his football career.

Traore plays in central midfield mostly or in the flanks and has immensely mesmerised in the Man United Under-23s joining in 2017 from Paris Saint-Germain (PSG).

He has scored four goals in 14 appearances for the Man United U23s, helping them earn promotion last season,

Traore spoke to French press about his ambitions to one day play in senior teams more often.

"I would like to start as a pro. I think I have the baggage to do it. I hope it will be in Manchester, otherwise why not go and find playing time elsewhere. I only have one year of contract left so yes, I'm not closing the door. But if I'm leaving, it's for a professional group. I need an evolution in my progression and that goes through a professional workforce," Traore revealed to RMC Sport.

Caen were a Ligue 1 side for five years until their relegation in 2019.
