Premier League confirm Man United should not have been given penalty

Premier League has admitted there was incorrect VAR decision in each game on Thursday night - including the penalty which set up Manchester United's victory.
United and Southampton were both awarded penalties in their games which top-flight bosses confirmed should have been overruled by VAR, while Tottenham were denied a spot-kick which the league said should have been given.
Bruno Fernandes gave United a platform for a fifth successive victory in all competitions when he fired home from the spot to set his side on their way to a 3-0 win at Aston Villa.
Fernandes had been awarded the penalty after Ezri Konsa was adjudged to have fouled him, but replays showed the midfielder had trodden on his opponent.
Even United legend Peter Schmeichel - who also played for Villa - said a penalty should not have been given, taking to Twitter to call VAR "a joke".

Earlier in the evening, Tottenham boss Jose Mourinho was left fuming after Bournemouth's Josh King shoved Harry Kane inside the area.
No penalty was given even after a VAR check, and the game was to end in a 0-0 draw which damaged Spurs' hopes of qualifying for Europe next season.
Mourinho was so incensed by the penalty decision in Tottenham's 0-0 draw that he walked out of his press conference following the match.
But the Spurs boss did vent his anger on Sky Sports, saying "everyone in the world" knew the spot-kick should have been given.
"The game had the most important moment - you know when, you know who - and I don't want to say anything more in relation to that because everyone knows and I don't need to say much more," Mourinho said.
"In the world, everybody knows that is a penalty. And I say everybody, I mean everybody.
"It's not just my opinion, everyone in the world, everybody knows that is a penalty. And when I say everybody, I say everybody, everybody.
"I am not saying that Harry Kane scores 100 per cent of his penalties, but it is very very high. Normally at minute five we would be winning 1-0 against a team in trouble, I think the game would be completely different."
Mourinho had also blasted VAR after a goal was disallowed in Tottenham's defeat to Sheffield United last week.
And following the draw at Bournemouth, the manager added: "Like Sheffield, the man of the match was not one of the players.
"But at Sheffield I could blame myself and the players, today I could not do that."
